Small Business Assistance in Lorain County

Growth Partnership Learning Center: The Learning Center allows small businesses or start-ups to come in and get help creating their own websites or using social media tools. The Center also offers FREE access to business plan development software. Daily assistance will be available to help you with business plans, websites and social media tools. We are working on providing FREE marketing plan software as well. Please review the information provide above about preparing for your business plan.

Open Computer Lab Hours:

  • Monday & Wednesdays 1:00 - 5:00 pm.
  • Tuesdays 11:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays & Fridays 10:00 - 2:00 p.m.


  • The Learning Center works in conjunction with the Lorain County Small Business Development Center and the Growth Partnership to offer workshops, networking meetings and discussion groups geared towards assisting small businesses and start-ups. The Learning Center has an open computer lab available Monday thru Friday to use for developing your small business. Please feel free to stop in anytime and ask questions. We also offer a FREE Small Business Start-up Discussion Group that meets every Wednesday from noon to 1:00 pm. See link above.

    The Lorain County Growth Partnership (LCGP), developed by the Lorain County Board of Commissioners, works with Lorain County organizations and businesses to compete more effectively in a regional marketplace.     The Lorain County Small Business Development Center: Offers guidance by connecting the client with resources, information and training. Our SBDC Advisors provide one-on-one counseling and assist in answering questions, identifying problems and finding solutions, sharing knowledge and information, discussing ideas and providing business advice. The counseling sessions are personalized, confidential, and at no cost to the client.
